Part 1: Merchant Terms & Conditions (T&C)

1. Definitions

2. Merchant Obligations & Anti-Counterfeit Policy

3. Fees and Payouts

4. Platform Rights & Enforcement

Part 2: Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

Phase 1: Onboarding & KYC

  1. Application: Merchant submits an application containing Company Registration, VAT Number (if applicable), and Director ID.
  2. Sales Verification (Standard Tier): Merchant must provide proof of historical sales on an external platform. Sales data must be verifiable and non-spoofable.
  3. Probationary Tier (1st-Time Flippers): We welcome brand new resellers! If you cannot provide historical sales proof, you will be placed on our Probationary Tier. Your first 5 successful sales will be subject to a strict 7-day Escrow hold to build platform trust.
  4. KYC Verification: JRG Admin verifies details against external databases.
  5. Banking Setup: For security and to prevent payout interception, Merchants must submit a stamped Bank Confirmation Letter (PDF or Image) matching the company/director name. You cannot simply type an account number into the dashboard.
  6. Approval: Merchant is granted the authorized seller role.

Phase 2: Listing a New Item (Authenticity & IMEI Verification)

  1. Dashboard Login: Navigate to the Merchant Hub and log in with your secure credentials.
  2. Upload Details: Enter the Product Title, Category, Price, and Condition. Provide clear, high-resolution photos of the actual item (no stock photos).
  3. Mandatory IMEI / Serial Entry: If listing an Apple Watch, iPhone, Smartphone, or Laptop, enter the authentic hardware Serial/IMEI. For Apple devices, ensure the serial resolves correctly on checkcoverage.apple.com.
  4. Review & Live Activation: Submitted listings are screened by JRG Administration. Listings passing authenticity checks are activated immediately for buyers across South Africa.

Phase 3: Updating & Managing Inventory

  1. Price Drops: In the Merchant Hub, click on an active listing to edit it. If you lower the price, the system automatically tags it with a "Price Drop" badge to attract buyers.
  2. Stock Availability: If you sell the item on another platform (e.g., Facebook Marketplace), you must immediately log into the JRG Merchant Hub and mark the item as "Out of Stock" or delete the listing to prevent double-selling.

Phase 4: Making a Sale & Pudo Fulfillment

  1. Notification: When a buyer purchases your item, you will receive an immediate SMS and Email notification stating "Order Paid & Approved".
  2. Packaging: You must securely package the electronic device with adequate bubble wrap to prevent courier transit damage.
  3. Pudo Drop-off: The system will generate a Pudo locker PIN. You have 48 hours to drop the securely packaged item into your nearest Pudo locker using that PIN.
  4. Tracking Update: Once Pudo scans the package, our API automatically updates the order status to "In Transit" and notifies the buyer.

Phase 5: Escrow Hold & Withdrawals

  1. Buyer Delivery: When the buyer collects the item from their Pudo locker, the status changes to "Delivered".
  2. The 48-Hour Escrow Hold: For the protection of both parties, funds are held in the JRG Escrow Trust for exactly 48 hours after delivery. This allows the buyer to verify the device works as advertised.
  3. Funds Released: If no dispute is logged by the buyer within 48 hours, the system automatically clears the transaction and moves the funds to your "Available Balance".
  4. Withdrawal: You can click the "Withdraw Funds" button in the Merchant Hub at any time. Payouts are settled to your verified bank account on our bi-weekly clearing cycle (Tuesdays and Fridays).
