1. Commercial Terms & Operating Policies
- Registered Entity: JRG Electronics and Accessories (PTY) LTD (jrgelectronics.co.za), Reg: 2026/123456/07.
- Retail Scope: Specializing in quality pre-owned and brand-new consumer electronics, Garmin smartwatches, laptops, and accessories.
- Device Condition Inspection: We do our best to source quality pre-owned goods at fair pricing. Before dispatch, we inspect physical condition, verify that the device powers on and charges, and ensure all previous user accounts (iCloud / Garmin Connect) are unlinked.
- National Pricing: All values specified in South African Rands (ZAR), including VAT where applicable.
- Inventory Velocity: Stock units are single-unit allocations and fulfilled on a verified first-cleared basis.
- Custom Sourcing Service: Dedicated hardware procurement available with a flat R250.00 fee (or 10% on items > R5,000.00).
2. Transparent Warranty Disclosure
JRG Electronics offers NO in-house store warranties on pre-owned stock, as inventory is sourced without third-party dealer warranties.
- Pre-Owned Devices: Sold strictly without warranty. Each unit includes explicit cosmetic grading, functional battery verification, and access to the statutory 7-day cooling-off period.
- Brand New Hardware: Covered solely by the original manufacturer’s limited warranty (e.g. Garmin 12-month, Apple 12-month). Buyers register and claim directly with official brand centers.
3. Statutory Cooling-Off & Return Guarantee (ECTA Section 44)
- Pre-Dispatch Cancellation: 100% full refund issued immediately if cancelled prior to courier collection.
- 7-Day Statutory Cooling-Off: Under Section 44 of the South African Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA 25 of 2002), consumers hold an unconditional right to return goods within 7 calendar days of physical receipt.
- Refund Processing Time: Cleared refunds processed within 48 hours of return inspection to the original payment source.
- Condition for Return: Devices must remain unaltered with factory serial numbers intact and original accessories returned.

- Ozow Instant EFT: Automated instant verification across all major South African commercial banks. No proof of payment required; orders enter dispatch immediately.
- Float Buy Now, Pay Later (Up to 4 Monthly Instalments): Split high-ticket tech purchases (smartwatches, laptops, smartphones) into up to 4 monthly payments using the available credit on your existing Visa or Mastercard credit card.
- No New Loans: No debt application, no credit checks, and no new accounts or app downloads.
- 0% Interest Charged: 1st monthly instalment is debited at checkout; subsequent instalments deduct automatically monthly with zero interest.
- Pre-Authorisation Card Hold: Float reserves the remaining balance on your credit card limit to guarantee the instalment plan. This hold automatically reduces each month as instalments are settled.
- Bank Rewards Points: Earn your full bank card points and cash-back bonuses normally.
- Direct Bank EFT: Manual transfer to our verified Capitec Business account with immediate proof of payment confirmation.

6. POPIA Data Privacy & Consumer Protection
- POPIA Compliance: In adherence to South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA 4 of 2013), customer data is stored securely and used strictly for invoicing and courier booking.
- Zero Third-Party Data Monetization: Customer email addresses and mobile numbers are never sold, rented, or distributed to advertising networks.
- Data Deletion Right: Customers may request full erasure of their order history upon conclusion of the statutory 3-year tax retention obligation.
